Dr. Chandrakumar Sherma from Kirant, Imam Nazrul Hussain from Islamic, Bhante Piyadassi Maharjan from Buddhism, Rev. Dr. Balkrishna Sharma from Christianity and Guru Ramchandra Bhandari Vashisht from Hinduism presented the working papers from respective religion. Through the working paper, the religious texts of their respective religions informed them about the harmful traditional practice, it`s background, practices and the steps to be taken to improve it were presented. Looking at the background of the working paper, the peace and harmony of every religion is strong and no negative thing was found in any religious book.
Although it is mentioned in the texts of all religions that harmful practices such as gender discrimination, caste discrimination and untouchability, sexual violence, child marriage, child marriage, dowry system, infanticide, mental health and suicides should not be done, the negative transformation are taking place with the change in time.
At the end, while taking feedback from the participants, the program was found to be very relevant and if we proceed with a collective action plan for further reduction, the program will be more fruitful. During the vote of thanks for the completion of the program, IPFN’s executive president Rambhakta Kurumwang promised to include such programs and activities in the project that emphasize minimization in the coming days.
