IPFN conducted fourth Annual General Meeting on Bhadra 26, 2079.

Rambhakta Kurumbang, president of the Federation, inaugurated the opening ceremony of the meeting. He informed that the Interfaith Peace Federation Nepal has been established for the promotion of religious tolerance and interfaith peace in the society by cooperating among the organizations and networks working in the field of interfaith peace across Nepal with the main goal of “establishing a peaceful society, religious harmony and religious harmony”.

He claimed that the federation was born with the purpose of developing a sense of unity between people and moving forward by cooperating on common issues for establishing lasting peace in the country.

The organization claims to have conducted various programs of promoting interfaith tolerance, co-existence and peace building in the community during the 5 years of program implementation and establishment.

Among them, the organization claims that it has worked to equip the society through interfaith peace discourses and education in schools, exchange of greetings at festivals of different religious communities, and various capacity building programs for religious leaders related to peace building.

The organization claims that many positive effects have started to be seen in the community. For example: the conservative idea that one’s only great religion and only one’s scriptures are sacred is disappearing, the understanding that all religions and scriptures are made for human welfare has reached the general public, followers of one religion have started studying the scriptures of another religion, religious leaders and followers of different religions participate in festivals and social activities of other religions. Undoubtedly, they have started participating. Murari Prasad Kharel, Secretary of Human Rights Commission, was the chief guest of the program.
