Ven. Piyadassi Maharjan is a self-motivated Buddhist monk intrigued in learning and teaching for the betterment of life. He dedicated his time and energy in spreading the Buddha’s teaching. He has completed B.A and M.A degree in Buddhist study from prestigious university of Srilanka and Nepal and Post graduate diploma in counseling psychology from Nepal. He received different peace building and non-violence trainings and skills from different organizations. He has been serving as a community mediator for Chandragiri Municipality, Kathmandu Nepal. He is the founder president of Ehipassiko Buddhist Foundation, General Secretary of Interfaith Alliance for Peace Nepal, Buddha anniversary ceremony committee and Nepal Buddha Pariyatti Education Council, Founder member of Nepal Monks’ Association and member of government of Nepal, Ministry of education, Monastry/Vihar management council Nepal and many others. He has a significant experiences of working in an interfaith peace issues to establish social cohesion and peace in a community.
